We've dreamed up lots of different games to keep things interesting but this is a brand new concept! We will combine golfing with fishing to determine the winners of this fun event! The golfing will begin at 2 PM with a 2-person format! The golf event will be full handicap play. Both scores will count and full handicaps will be deducted at the conclusion of the nine holes. After golf, each 2 - person team will be assigned a spot to fish along a golf course pond (most likely Heron 2 and 3). The spot where you fish will be determined by random draw. You may want to bring a folding chair for the fishing portion of the event. Knowledge of fishing is not required! There will be volunteers from the Burnt Store Anglers Club available to help you. Every team will be utilizing the same selection of artificial lures which will be provided. A limited number of fishing rods will be available for loan if needed. At 4 PM, every twosome will have one hour to fish from their designated spot. Any fish caught will be measured and photographed! Point values will be assigned for size, species and number of fish caught. Your golf score and your fishing score will be combined to determine the winners of the event! Winners will be determined during Cocktail Hour which will run from 5 - 6 PM. Dinner for the evening will appropriately be a Fish Fry which will begin at 6 PM! (No, the fish for the fish fry will not come from the golf course ponds). This event should be loads of fun and lots of laughs. Sign up now to play on the bulletin board. Please sign up to play by no later than noon on Thursday, April 15th. You may sign up as a twosome or individually, in which case we will pair you up. The entry fee for the tournament will be $5 which will be collected when you check in to play on the day of the event. When signing up to play, please indicate whether of not you will need a fishing rod.
