MEMBERS ARE INVITED TO SIGN UP AND PLAY WITH
A NON-MEMBER GUEST
As part of our Open House/Welcome Fair Festivities, we hope that you will participate in the Member/Guest Golf Scramble scheduled for Sunday, February 26th - 8:15 Shotgun. Members are invited to bring non-member guests for this tournament! When signing up your guest please try to determine an approximate handicap and write that handicap next to their name on the sign-up sheet. Bracket your name with your guest and we will make sure that you play together. This scramble will be flighted and handicapped. All guests will become "members for a day" and receive the same 15% discount as a member for the entire day at the BSGAC. Please note that you do not have to bring a guest in order to play.
During the tournament you will have the opportunity to participate in our BSGAC Fundraising activities for the day by purchasing optional extra shots from our golf professional Ray Davis and our club champions Arthur Gates and Debbie Burns. These shots will not be counted as strokes in your score. You will find Ray Davis on the tee box on Pelican #1. He will hit a maximum of 2 shots per team at a cost of $2 per shot (this amounts to 50 cents per person per shot). Debbie Burns will be ready to putt for you on the green on Pelican #1 for $2 (only 1 putt allowed). If Ray drives the ball to the green and Debbie putts it in, your team score for that hole will be ZERO! You will also find Arthur Gates on Heron #6 fairway waiting to hit your second shot! You will have the option of purchasing of 2 shots from Arthur Gates at a cost of $2 per shot.
We will also be holding an optional putting contest both during the scramble and following the scramble during the Fair. Entry into the putting contest is $2 per person. There will be 4 putts set up. This contest will consist of a 3, 6, 10 and 15 foot putt. If you make the first 3 putts you will win a sleeve of golf balls. If you want to press your luck (or skill, whatever), you can forgo the sleeve and try the 15 foot putt. If you make the 15 foot putt you will win a dozen golf balls (as well as instant fame and bragging rights)!
Sign up to play on the bulletin board. Following the tournament, we hope that you will stay and try your luck at picking winners at the horserace on the driving range. Enjoy $1 drafts, cold drinks, great grilled food and ice cream from the ice cream sundae station. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the Linkside Café. Try your luck in the casting contest sponsored by the Anglers club. Purchase delicious bakes goods at our bake sale. Play horseshoes and the bean bag toss game. Take a chance in our raffles. Most importantly, bring your friends, have fun and enjoy a great day of fellowship!
