Get those creative juices flowing and put on your thinking
caps! This year there will be an “OPEN THEME” for our
Halloween Party, so now is the time to start working on your costumes!
Prizes will be awarded for best costume, most creative costume and
funniest costume! Of course, although costumes are
encouraged, feel free to come as you like and join in on the festivities.
Music will be provided by DJ George. To learn more

Our main dining room is sure to fill up quickly, and the overflow will be seated
on the lanai, so be sure to make your reservations early by stopping by or
calling the Administration Office. Tickets must be purchased
by no later than October 27th. Please be prepared to choose
your entrée from the below selections when making your reservation:

Everyone is invited to join us at the Linkside Café on Friday, September 18th
as we remain open serving dinner from 4:30 until 7 PM. The
bar will remain open until 8 PM. No matter whether or not you

Our regular menu will be available, and the Friday Night Special will be

Attention all Golfers! The Holiday will begin at 8:15 am with a
combination of two of your favorite goofy golf scramble formats! We will
be playing the course backwards and every team will be given a predetermined
length of string to be utilized to advance the ball during the game. Please
wear your red, white and blue proudly and bring your flags! If you’ve never
played the course backwards you need to sign up for this! This format
gives you a fresh look at every hole! Sign – up will begin in the golf
computer one week ahead of time. Following the scramble everyone is
invited to join us for our annual Memorial Day Picnic and Games! You do
not need to participate in the Scramble to join us for the Picnic Buffet or to
join in the games.

entry fee of $3 and draw a horse out of the bucket. Those who draw the

Festivities & Competition begins at Noon
The devious minds of Ray
Davis, Bernie Punt, Diane Mattas and the Golf Committee have outdone themselves
with this event! It all begins at Noon with a fantastic BBQ Festival (menu
to follow) which will take place outside of the clubhouse. The air will be
sweet as the smell of Fine Swine Dining BBQ Cooking wafts through the air,
stirring the appetites of all in the area and drawing them to the Clubhouse!
We invite any and all talent to grab their instrument and head to the BBQ for
our 1st Community Jam Session to entertain those dining at our 1st Annual BBQ
Festival. Bring your guitars, banjos, ukeleles, accordions, mouth organs,
trombones, piano, drums, rich singing voices and whatever else strikes your
fancy! Play alone or with others! As the cold beer flows I’m sure
all of the music will blend together in sweet harmony anyway.
From Noon until 2PM there
will be a skills competition open to everyone, member and non-member alike.
Will it be putting? Chipping? Driving? Sand Shots?
Throwing the Ball? Swimming? Water-skiing? What other skills may be
called upon to satisfy the warped minds of Ray Davis and Bernie Punt? Only
they know for sure.
At 2 PM follow our golfers
as they compete in a 9-hole shootout. If you wish to compete in the
shoot-out merely sign up on the bulletin board (Members Only To Compete).
Everyone is invited to follow and watch the golfers as this intense,
pressure-packed competition evolves! Cameras are welcome! Of course there
will be a beverage cart following right along with you! At the conclusion
of the shootout everyone is welcome to join us back at the clubhouse to continue
the festivities and whatever else those festivities may evolve into. Oh
yeah, awards will also be distributed at that time. Drag your friends
along and let’s get the entire community involved!

Audiences of all ages have been enjoying Frank Torino for over thirty years.
Frank has entertained at the popular New Jersey Shore, Philadelphia, Pa
and the Tri-State area. Highly

premier issue of Atlantic City Magazine.
He has also appeared on a variety of TV Talk Shows such as “People Are

Frank has appeared at many venues in Southwest Florida and comes highly

LINKSIDE CAFÉ. Frank has won

“A Night With The Stars” is an outstanding tribute to Sinatra and Friends
featuring songs from the Big Band Era, followed by an exciting rendition of Tom
Jones with his powerful ballads and songs sung with the same passion as Tom
Jones. The finale, of course, is a
tribute to the King himself, ELVIS.
Elvis has always been larger than life and so is his hair in this comedic
rendition paying tribute not only to Elvis but Elvis impersonators too.
Brilliant Vocals and commanding stage presence, together with superb costumes,
all contribute to make this a truly enjoyable entertainment experience.
In order to assure that all seating provides a good view of the show, it is
necessary that we limit each show to 80 reservations only.

Monday Golf League – Mother Nature cooperated
with us this past Monday Afternoon and we were able to play our first Monday
afternoon 9-hole tournament. There were 8 teams total and a great time was
had by all. After the game we all met back at the clubhouse for pizza,
libations and fellowship! Hopefully this coming Monday the weather will
cooperate again. Following golf, pulled pork sandwiches will be offered at
the Linkside Cafe and the bar will remain open until 8PM. No sign-up is
necessary. Just show up at 4PM and bring a golf ball with your name and
handicap written on the ball. We'll form teams at that time, decide on the
format and shotgun at 4:30! Hope to see you there! Please remember
that this league is limited to Burnt Store Golf and Activity Club Members only.
4th of July Picnic – All
Activity Club Members are invited to join us in celebrating the independence of
this great country at our 4th of July Picnic Buffet. Mark your calendars
and plan to join your friends for an afternoon of good food and great
camaraderie. Note: You DO NOT have to play in the morning Golf Scramble to
join us for lunch. The Buffet is available for Activity Club Members Only.
However the Linkside Cafe will be open the to public all day offering our normal

Memorial Day Swamp Romp

On Monday, May 26th at 8:15 am there will be shotgun start golf
tournament with an entry fee of $5.00.
Swamp Romp
Rules:
It's time for
a new golf game called the Swamp Romp.
This is a fun
event with a different format. Each group will be given a fake frog,
lizard and a snake. When someone in the group's ball goes into the water
that person is given the frog. The lizard is given for being in a sandtrap
and the snake is for 3 putting. The critters will be changing hands
frequently in the group. After play, there will be a stroke added per
critter to anyone's score who finishes with critters. Players never having
any critters during the tournament will have a stroke deducted. Everyone
will play their own ball. Two low net scores counted per team. For
further information concerning this golf event stop by or contact the golf shop
at 637-1577.
After the
Game join us on the Patio for a SWAMP ROMP BUFFET. Your Choice of Pulled Pork
BBQ or Chicken Breast Sandwich. Buffet includes: Baked Beans, Corn on the Cob,
Potato Salad, Watermelon and Dessert.
