POKER RUN PLANNED FOR
SATURDAY, MARCH 27

VOLUNTEER DEALERS NEEDED

BSGAC MEMBERS ONLY

The Activity Committee is planning to offer a Poker Run to the Community again on Saturday, March 27th.  Our last Poker Run was a resounding success and was thoroughly enjoyed by all who participated. We are looking for a minimum of 10 Marina Residents to volunteer to be dealers from 3-5 pm.  (We say Marina residents because we would like to stay away from a situation where we have lots of golf carts darting back and forth across Vincent and through the Lakes).  Dealers are asked to greet participants at their homes, shuffle a deck of cards, and allow each player to draw a card from the deck.  The dealer then notes the card which was drawn on the player’s scorecard and places the card back in the deck.  Previous dealers have offered beer, wine and soft drinks to players as a way to meet and socialize with other residents.  Others have offered light snacks.  However, offering beverages and snacks is not a requirement for participation.  Everyone who has volunteered to be a dealer for past Poker Runs thoroughly enjoyed this activity.  Volunteer dealers will be given an orientation prior to the event and will be given reserved seating at the dinner!  Those willing to act as dealers for this fun event should contact Jay Lev as soon as possible!  Jay can be reached by phone at 941-575-9981 or by email at: customrods44@hotmail.com.

THE BSGAC GOLF CART POKER RUN IS
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND

SATURDAY, MARCH 27, 2010

COST:  $20 PER PERSON

POKER RUN 3 – 5 PM, SOCIAL HOUR 5 – 6 PM

DINNER 6 PM

BSGAC MEMBERS ONLY

If you have never participated in a poker run, you have missed out on a really great time!  You won’t want to miss out this year.  For this event all participants will check in at the Activity Center at 3 PM.  Each person will be given a Poker Scorecard and assigned a route of 5 residences to visit and return to the Club by 5 PM.  At each residence, you will draw one card towards a 5-card poker hand, and proceed to the next residences on your route to complete your poker hand.  Each stop will enable everyone to socialize with old friends, make some new friends and share in what is truly a fun event.  This is a social event and not a race!  Some of the homes participating will be offering refreshments.  Although it is called a “Golf Cart Poker Run”, all participants may use whatever means they wish to leave the club and return with a complete poker hand by 5pm.  Some residents have 4-person carts with whom you may want to team up.  Those without golf carts may wish to bicycle, travel by car, walk, etc.  If you wish to team up with another pair for this event please register as a foursome so that you will have the same route of 5 homes to visit.  The Scorecards must be returned by 5PM to the Activity Center where the scoring will take place.  An Italian Buffet Dinner will be served at 6pm.
